SolTicker currently supports Growatt inverters — the SPH, MIN, and MAX series. These cover the vast majority of UK residential solar+battery installations. If you have a different brand, you can join the waitlist and we'll email you when your inverter is supported. We can usually add a new brand within 5 days.
Your inverter credentials are encrypted using AES-256 before being stored — the same standard used by banks. All data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We never store your password in plain text. You can read our full privacy policy for the complete picture.

SolTicker retries automatically on the next cycle. You'll get a notification if we can't reach your inverter, so you're always in the loop. On the rare occasion the API is unavailable for a prolonged period, your inverter simply stays on the last settings applied.

SolTicker uses Open-Meteo's Global Tilted Irradiance (GTI) data — it models the exact irradiance hitting your tilted panels, accounting for orientation, tilt angle, sun position, and cloud cover. We run separate forecasts for each array (e.g. NE and SW-facing). Far more accurate than simple cloud-cover estimates.
